How to retrieve statistics for an Instagram account with Scheduled?
With Scheduled, you can automatically centralize key stats (impressions, reactions, comments, shares) from your Instagram posts directly in your Notion database. Here’s how to set up each step so your stats are collected reliably.
Step 1: Connect your Instagram account to Scheduled
- Open Scheduled and go to Settings > Connect my social accounts.
- Select Instagram and follow the steps to link your account.
- Once connected, your Instagram account will appear in the "Instagram" block.

Step 2: Create the reporting for your Instagram account
- In Scheduled, go to Settings > Metrics collection.
- Click on “Attach a reporting” next to your Instagram connection.
- Scheduled creates your Instagram reporting, but it’s still inactive.

Step 3: Add Notion properties to store your stats
- You need to link each Instagram stat to a Notion property (column) in your database:
- Impressions (sc_instagram_impressions)
- Reactions (sc_instagram_reactions)
- Comments (sc_instagram_comments)
- Shares (sc_instagram_shares)
- Clicks (sc_post_clicks)
- For each stat, select or create the matching column (type “Number”).

Step 4: Activate Instagram reporting
Once your Notion properties are ready, activate the reporting with the button at the top right of the reporting screen.
Scheduled will then start collecting metrics automatically.
The stats will begin to show up in your synced Notion database.

Step 5: Check and understand the required sc_post_url property
Make sure you have the Notion property sc_post_url (type “URL”) in your database. This is essential to link posts to the stats you receive.
Case 1: Post published with Scheduled → the sc_post_url column is filled in automatically. Stats are added without any action needed.
Case 2: Instagram post published manually or via another tool → you need to copy the URL of your published Instagram post and paste it manually into sc_post_url. Scheduled will then detect the post and add or update its stats.

⚠️ Things to watch out for and common errors
- Check the Facebook/Instagram requirements before connecting your account.
- The Notion database you use must contain a
sc_post_urlcolumn of type URL, otherwise stats won’t be linked. - Fill in the
sc_post_urlproperty manually only for posts not published via Scheduled. - Notion properties for impressions, reactions, comments, and shares must be of the correct type (number).
- A poorly configured database can block stats collection.
