This guide will walk you through setting up Scheduled to automate publishing your social media posts directly from Notion.

Step 1: Create your content calendar

After creating your account, you'll land on the Scheduled homepage
Click on "Add content calendar"
Name your calendar (e.g., "My LinkedIn Posts")
This calendar will help you organize your posts and collaborate with your team

Step 2: Set up your Notion database

Download the free template (recommended)

Before connecting Notion, download Scheduled's free template
It comes pre-configured with all necessary properties:
Publication date
Social connection
Post status

Connect your Notion database

Click on "Grant Access to Notion"

| Step 1: upload your PDF to Notion

Publishing LinkedIn carousels via Notion is a straightforward process, similar to how you'd upload images and videos.

Simply drag and drop your PDF into the Notion card (either before or after your text), or use the /pdf shortcut for a quicker upload.

|| 📌 Ensure your PDF is fully uploaded in Notion before scheduling its publication.

After uploading, navigate to the top right of your PDF. You’ll find a button for adding a caption. Click on it to enter the title of your carousel.

This guide will show you how to manage and publish content for multiple LinkedIn profiles directly from Notion, perfect for content creators managing multiple clients or companies implementing employee advocacy programs.

Prerequisites

Before getting started, ensure you have:

A Scheduled account
A connected Notion database
The appropriate Scheduled plan that allows multiple LinkedIn connections

Setting up profile connections

Step 1: Invite LinkedIn profile owners

Go to your Scheduled dashboard
Navigate to the "Social" section
Click on "New" to add a new connection
Select "Invite someone" and enter their email address

| 💡 The email doesn't need to be their LinkedIn email - just one where they'll receive the invitation.

Step 2: Profile owner connection process

When your invitee receives the email, they will need to:

Click the invitation link
Create a Scheduled password
Connect their LinkedIn profile through Scheduled's interface
(Optional) Configure analytics settings for performance tracking

Step 3: Configure publishing in Notion

Once the profile is connected:

Locate the profile's alias in Scheduled (found in the Social connections section)
Use the "Platform connection" property in your Notion database
Add the profile's alias to this property for pos

When does Scheduled retrieve your posts from Notion?

Saphir checks your Notion database every 2 hours. If there is new content, it will take it and schedule it. If the publication date is past, Saphir will publish your content immediately.

You can also use the button “Schedule Now” to trigger Scheduled manually from Notion.

If I change the publication date of a schedule post?

Accepted Answer

You can update the publication date before the post is publishing. Scheduled will stop the publication and re-schedule to new publication date.
