# What to do when Facebook asks you to confirm your identity before publishing

If you get the "Confirm your identity before you can publish as this Page" error when publishing to Facebook through Scheduled, don't worry. This request comes from Meta, not from Scheduled, and it usually takes a few minutes to resolve.

## Understanding the error

Meta sometimes asks Page admins to confirm their identity before they can publish. Until you complete this step, **no scheduled post can go out** — not through Scheduled, not through Meta Business Suite, not even via a manual scheduled post on Facebook itself.

## Step-by-step solution

### Step 1: Open the Facebook app on your phone

3. If nothing shows up there, go to your Page and look for a banner at the top.
