This FAQ walks you through every step, from requirements to final confirmation, so you can publish without stress.

1. Check the requirements and necessary permissions

Before you start, make sure:

  • You have an active Scheduled account
  • Your Notion database is connected to Scheduled

  • You are the owner or an admin of the TikTok account, or you have access through TikTok Business Center

⚠️ Admin rights are required to connect your TikTok account to Scheduled.

2. Connect TikTok to Scheduled

  1. Log in to Scheduled and open your Scheduled calendar (your linked Notion database).
  2. Go to the Settings menu, then select Social accounts.

Steps to connect your TikTok account

Add your connection alias to Notion

The last step lets you have the alias directly in Notion so you can publish your next posts easily.

3. Prepare the video in Notion

  1. Open the Notion database used by Scheduled.
  2. Click to create a new card (post).
  3. Fill in the key properties:
  • Connection alias: Select the linked TikTok alias
  • Date and time: Choose when to publish the video

Notion properties (publish date and connection)

  1. For the content:
  • Add the text of your post in the body of the card

For the video:

  • Either drag and drop your video file directly into the card
  • Or use the /video shortcut in Notion

You can also paste a direct link to a video (external file that’s publicly accessible, not a YouTube link)

Using the /video shortcut to insert a video

4. Schedule and confirm the publication

  1. Check that all properties are filled in.
  2. Change the status of the card according to your workflow (e.g. “Ready to publish”).
  3. Click the Scheduled button built into your Notion database to start scheduling.
