Connect Notion, Scheduled and LinkedIn
How to Connect Scheduled with Notion and LinkedIn in Less Than 5 Minutes?
If you want to create your Scheduled account and properly connect all the tools, go here: https://app.scheduled.so/welcome.
Step#1: Download the Free Notion Template
Before you start creating your account and connecting everything, you can download the free Notion template created by the team.
To do so, click directly on "Nope" or on this link: https://scheduled.notion.site/LinkedIn-OS-b44b4d8ac6d14ed2934038ab18b09bbb
Step#2: Create Your Account
Fill out the form with your name, email, and password to create your Scheduled account.
Step#3: Share Your Notion Access with Scheduled
Share your Notion access so that Scheduled can retrieve your posts and publish them on LinkedIn.
Make sure to select the correct Notion account with which you wish to share access. You cannot share access to a Notion account to which you have been invited.
Select only the database(s) that will be dedicated to the content you wish to publish with Scheduled. There's no point in sharing your entire Notion. On the contrary, for security and performance reasons, it's better to avoid sharing everything. The more selective you are, the quicker the next step will be.
If you have a lot of databases, feel free to rename them beforehand in Notion and then use the search bar to find and select them.
Step#4: Select and Connect Your Notion Database
Once you have shared the access, you just need to select the database you want to connect and configure. If you want to connect multiple databases, you can do so later by activating Scheduled's Pro plan.
Step#5: Scheduled Settings
For Scheduled to retrieve the posts from your Notion, two properties are essential:
➡️ A date type property
So that Scheduled knows when to publish your post on LinkedIn.
➡️ A "Selection" or "Status" type property
To indicate the evolution stage of your post in Notion. This property will be useful initially for you to know at what stage your post is (an idea, a draft, already published?). Secondly, it will allow Scheduled to know two things:
When your post is ready to be scheduled (i.e., the status "ready to be scheduled")
What status to indicate when your post is successfully published (i.e., the status "published")
You can name the properties as you wish. You must only ensure to respect the type of the properties.
Step#6: Connect Your LinkedIn Profile or Page
The last step is the simplest.
You just need to connect your LinkedIn profile or page to publish your posts.
To connect a LinkedIn page with Scheduled, you must be an administrator of that page.
Congratulations!
